This performance advantage has impacts beyond the obvious, which is all calculations run faster than with other programs. In addition, for any given length of time, more calculations can be carried out. This gives the user the freedom to explore many more systems within the same length of time, instead of having to pick model systems to study and risk missing important discoveries.
Also, the performance advantage means that Jaguar is able to handle larger systems, not just small prototype models that may not adequately represent the real-world problems being studied.
Lastly, Jaguar’s performance advantage also means that the user may use the highest level of theory necessary, instead of sacrificing accuracy by using lower levels of theory due to resource constraints.
