RESEARCH INTERESTS

Computational multiscale simulations of materials and physico-chemical processes; solid state ionic and proton conductors, fuel cell catalysis, hydrogen storage, Li-ion batteries, proton glasses, atomic level mechanism of ionic (proton) transport and glass formation; new proton-conducting materials and their applications in fuel cells, sensors, and other electrochemical devices; relationships between crystal structures and properties (ionic conductivity, ferroelectricity and ferroelasticity, glass formation); structural phase transitions, atomic level mechanism of phase transitions; electron density distribution in crystals.
